The Institute for Municipal Engineering (IME) was formed in 1990 as a branch of the Maine Chapter of the American Public Works Association. The IME is made up of Maine municipal engineers and your participation and support of our group will open the door to many opportunities for personal and professional development. IME has a Board of Directors who strive to provide local Maine professionals with a meeting ground to share expertise, resources and offer a setting for joint training.

IME is the rallying point for public works engineers and other governmental managers who share a common body of knowledge and experience. IME is the medium in which professionals meet their peers and keep up to date with developments affecting their interests. In short, as an IME member you will have many options.

To join, simply print out and complete the linked application and send it in with a check in the amount of $10 made payable to "IME". Anyone involved in public service is qualified to be a member of IME and you are encouraged to also join APWA, but such membership is not mandatory. IME Membership is for one calendar year.

We all look forward to hearing from you. Remember to return the application to Brent Bridges, Woodard & Curran, Inc. If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of the Board members and we welcome your input and support.

We also invite and encourage you to join and help our Maine Chapter APWA grow and serve us all. Click here for more information on why you should join APWA.
